Do I need a permit for a shed?

Yes, even temporary structures require a Building Permit.  Please complete both pages of the BUILDING PERMIT and return it to Village Hall.  Building fees for sheds are calculated by the square footage of the shed.

Water Utilities

How could I have used this much water?

The Village of Forreston updated all meters a few years ago.  Our meters read via radio signal so there is no human error in reading. You could possibly have a leaky toilet or faucet that is difficult to detect. We recommend you check all faucets, toilets, and your water softener.  If you wish, a Village employee can come with a hand held reader to double check your meter.  We request an adult be home to verify no water is running in the house while we read the meter.  Please understand, Village employees are not plumbers.  They are not there to fix a problem, only to help locate it if possible. Call the office and we will work with you to help you solve the problem.

Why do I have a previous balance when I know I sent in my payment?

We may have received it after the due date or we may not have received it at all. Call our office and we will help you solve the problem.
